Garlic Germination We’ve had a number of enquiries from growers asking about germination. To give you some idea of germination times I thought it might be useful to publish a graph of the growth rates of our own garlic varieties. The varieties are in 6 groups—3 hardneck and 3 softneck and all were planted in pots in a polytunnel on the weekend of the 18/19 October 2003. A list of varieties is shown below and the growth recorded is a simple measure of total leaf length per plant. Hope this helps some of you! | ||
